You made it!

Thank you so much for your vote of confidence, and for inviting me into your (already busy) inbox. That means the world to me.

In order for us to both have a great time together, would you add this email (hello @ jonathan pritchard . me) as a contact? That way we’ll actually get to send messages back and forth (instead of our budding relationship dying in the spam folder).

When you do that, you’ll hear from me about once a week. Sometimes it might be less often (like if I’m slammed with travel to boring places). Sometimes it might be more frequently (like if I’m slammed with travel to awesome places). But, on average, I’ll ping you once every week or so.

Now that we have that out of the way, I want to fill you in on this guy Jonathan Pritchard. I want to introduce you to the man, the myth, the legend!

I got my start doing magic tricks as a kid that I learned from a magic set at first, then from every single book I could find at the library and second hand book stores. That’s how I learned the importance of saying & doing the right thing, at the right time, in the right way.

My first paid gig was at age 13 where I did tricks at a company’s summer employee picnic. I’ve been supremely unemployable ever since.

I went to college & got a degree in painting portraits (so I had something to fall back on). During those years I met my mentor James Randi who had a million dollar challenge to anyone who claims to have a paranormal ability. I handled applications for the challenge, and even designed some testing protocol. Also, I helped Randi run a science conference 13 years in a row in Vegas.

I’ve also been the tour manager for Brian Brushwood, and I helped get his wildly successful “Scam School” project off the ground. Working with him taught me everything I needed to know about making a living as a professional mind reader. That’s when I started touring the world as a mentalist & reading minds. (That’s why I own iCanReadMinds.com)

Also somewhere in the years I’ve been out for America’s Got Talent where I got 3 out of 4 yes votes. Thank you Howard Stern, Heidi Klum, & Mel B. Howie Mandel can shove it.

I’ve also been out for Penn & Teller Fool Us but my segment never made it to air. `¯\_(ツ)_/¯` Thanks for bringing up that painful memory.

Did all this performing stuff for a long time (and I still do!) before I eventually realized that the applied psychology I’m using on stage would be super valuable to companies & anyone else interested in using psychology to make more money more quickly. That’s when I wrote my book “[think] Like A Mind Reader” which crams 20 years’ worth of business experience into a couple hundred pages.

Now I’ve started a couple businesses that serve a client list of the world’s best companies. (If you work somewhere that exhibits at trade shows, then I have great news for you.)

But it wasn’t always sunshine & rainbows. Also in the mix was an early marriage that I helped self destruct. Was practically homeless (which I explained as ‘on tour’ for a little too long). Got my car repossessed. Twice.

So I’ve been through quite a bit, and want to help as many people as I can 1) avoid my pitfalls and 2) make their most ambitious goals a reality like I have.

Don’t worry. Most of my emails aren’t this long. Just wanted to give you a good picture of who I am, how I got here, and what kind of stuff you can expect me to talk about.

And whatever you want to talk about is cool, too! Send me a reply. Ask me a question. I’m going to read every single one you send (until it crosses that ‘this person is probably going to skin me and wear it’ line).

Looking forward to hearing from you.
